The current monkhos formula has three ingredients: monk fruit, water and vitamin C. Here is what each one is.
The sweetener
Monk fruit, also called luo han guo, is a small, round green fruit native to southern China, known for its natural sweetness.
Its sweet taste comes from compounds in the fruit called mogrosides. Monk fruit extract is the sweetening ingredient in monkhos.
The base
The liquid base. It carries the monk fruit extract, so you can add sweetness drop by drop and it mixes easily into drinks and food.
In the formula
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is included in the current formula.
